Dear: Julian S.
I understand that you feel that we cannot change our rapidly deteriorating environment, and that we must prepare for the eventual doomed destruction of earth. You do not feel that there is anything that could be done to save our planet; you feel that we are approaching the expiration date of earth and we have only accelerated it by not putting it back in the fridge. To this I disagree.
Although we have decreased the pollution particles that create global dimming by such a large margin that it no longer has much of a counteracting effect on the CO2 and other greenhouse gasses, I still believe that we can restore Mother Nature to a life sustaining balance. The recent volcanic eruptions in Iceland have caused a significant amount of global dimming particles to enter the atmosphere and begin dimming the earth and reverse the effects of global warming. Although global warming has destroyed many ecosystems and permanently altered them, we can still freeze our current situation, if we all pitch in and switch to electric
Vehicles and to clean renewable energy sources to generate our electricity, than we can cut most of our greenhouse gas emissions and stabilize world climate.
We do need to accept blame for causing such damage to our environment, but that is no reason to give up on it, although many creatures have suffered died and even some have gone extinct, there is still hope. The earth has gone through many natural catastrophes’ far worse then global warming, and although many died and some species went extinct the world has always re-grown and redeveloped, life on this planet has always changed to meet the new environment, and I’m sure it will do so in the future.
